NCCN Moving and Handling trainer
receives a top accolade
In
the recent RBS Great British Care Awards Sarah Back, our M&H trainer
and essential member of our assessment team, was declared a finalist
for the Care Trainer Award after rounds of nomination and interviews.
She was presented with this "grand" trophy at the Yorkshire
and Humberside Area awards ceremony held in York recently. NCCN is delighted
that its commitment to ongoing training in all areas of its business
has been recognised and thank Sarah for her enthusiasm and dedication
that helps us to provide a quality service.
Selby office gets Top Marks in Care
Quality Commission inspection
The
NCCN branch at 7 Brook Street was given the top grade possible
in its first inspection. Anybody is welcome to drop in to discuss all
aspects of care in the Selby area, The office, just down the road from
the town council offices, is run by Sarah Hall (right)
the Selby area manager. IT IS SHUT FOR THE MOMENT WHILE RENNOVATIONS TAKE
PLACE BUT WE ARE STILL ON THE END OF THE PHONE. So give her a ring, the

Developments on the South Bank of
the Humber Estuary
NCCN continue to expand
their specialist services in the Barton upon Humber, Brigg, Scunthorpe,
Winterton, Goxhill and Winteringham areas of North Lincolnshire.

CQC Grade "EXCELLENT"
NCCN at Market Weighton has always received a grade
of "excellent" which defines a service as "exceeding the
standards that should be expected". If you have Acrobat Reader and

to see the details. It is not a particularly recent report (because we
are "excellent" we don't get them often) the summary on page
6 says
"Service
users receive a consistent well-managed service and report that they get
'value for money'. Assessments and care plans are thorough and give staff
the information they need to be able to care for people properly. Service
users were positive about the care they receive, and said that staff were
courteous and respectful. The agency provides excellent information for
prospective service users and their relatives..... this is published in
a variety of formats so an informed decision can be made about whether
the agency is able to meet their needs.....the Learning Disability service
has developed with the appointment of experienced managers and staff.
Additional training is now provided which assists staff to work with challenges"
